Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

And Napoli, if Celtic can't stop this slide only another 4 needed

Only three now... Astana look dangerous everytime they go forward.

Lol Celtic. Invincible my hole. They'll still get through but that away goal will be the saving of them yet.

8-4 on aggregate is fine by me (even if Celtic collapsed for 35 minutes in the 2nd half) :)

    Crazy scoreline. Some craic that.

Good to see TV3 showing Nice vs Napoli. Here are the teams:
Nice XI: Cardinale - Souquet, Dante, Le Marchand, Jallet - Tameze, Seri - Walter, Sneijder, Saint-Maximin - Balotelli.

Napoli XI: Reina - Hysaj, Koulibaly, Albiol, Ghoulam - Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik - Callejon, Mertens, Insigne

Possibly Seri's last game for Nice ahead of the proposed move to Barca. I like the look of the Nice team but it's a big ask to overturn the two goal deficit.

1-0 Napoli. A huge gulf in quality in this tie.
Surprised to see Sevilla struggling tonight too.

Lovely work by Nolito to set up Sevilla's second, 2-1 on the night, 4-2 on agg.

A poor display by Nice. Napoli were very deserving winners. This wasn't the Nice that were enjoyable to watch last season. Three of their back four last season have moved on and they looked very vulnerable defensively, while Cyprien, who was arguably their best player last season, wasn't involved tonight. I still fancied their attack would cause more problems but they lacked cohesion. Napoli look like a team you'd want to avoid in the group stages.

That's all but 1 team for pot 3 resolved now. I assume it's either Liverpool or if they balls up it's Celtic.

Nice were awful tonight. To think that's one of the better sides Neymar wil be playing domestic football against this season. :o

To be honest I think it's more Napoli were very good than Nice being awful. Nice got a horrible draw. Think they would have beaten some of the other sides that qualified.

Yeah Napoli were class they smothered Nice all over the pitch and never gave them a chance to settle

Just to say as well that this new Pot 1 system that's been in place for a while is an absolute farce. It makes the groups totally pot luck as to getting an incredibly tough one or a very easy one. Having pot 1 as the winners of the 8 main leagues is a joke. Just look at the coefficients of pot 1

Real Madrid (ESP, holders) coefficient 176.999
    Bayern München (GER) 154.899
    Juventus (ITA) 140.666
    Benfica (POR) 111.866
    Chelsea (ENG) 106.192
    Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR) 87.526
    Monaco (FRA) 62.333
    Spartak Moskva (RUS) 18.606

There's going to be teams in Pot 4 with a better Coefficient than Moscow. The whole point of seeding it is to make the groups balanced. Once you introduce something like this you're as well having an open draw with no seeding. Like, there's 5 better teams than Chelsea even in Pot2.

Same here. They make such a song and dance about it, wheeling out all and sundry on to the stage. We know we'll get paired with either Real or Bayern; it happens every year.
