Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Real are there for the taking here. There's something seriously up if Bayern don't win here.

Both defences look in the horrors.

I know they conceded but Bayern looking good and Real are getting pinned back a little and having to rely on the counter

What a chance for Bayern, needed a better final ball. Played behind everyone.

So far, Bayern aren't doing too bad for a team who, according to Dunphy, are completely out of the tie and finished in general

    Vazquez is having a nightmare.

They should be winning this tie. It seems to be entirely in their minds that has them behind in the tie up to this point.

Iif BM could cross a ball they would be 4 up.

Munich not making the most of chances again

Surprised Real look so shaky at the back, gave away a lot of chances in this tie but have got away with it.
according to Dunphy, are completely out of the tie and finished in general

    Finished or Dying?

Benzema is such a good outball for Real when they are under the cosh .

Lot better quality than the last game.

    Madrid should have scored there

Better decision making by Marcelo there and it would be 2-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Marcelo had to hit that on goal first time, as hard as he could.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Chance wise it has been pretty even. Bayern high press cannot last so they need to make the most of these energy levels. They look like some of these players will have emptied the tank early.

What a miss from James. Great run from Hummels.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Wonder how much of a bonus James gets from his parent club for that one. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Damn it. Should be 2-1 Bayern.

We all know who brilliant ronaldo is but by god his work rate so far has been shocking just letting Munich players run by him no tracking what so ever

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Really poor atmosphere in the Bernabeu for a Champions League semi-final. I’ve heard it louder than this against relegation fodder.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Pathetic rolling around from the Madrid player. He clearly slipped.

Lewandoski having a stinker yet again.

Bayern making a complete balls of the final pass or the shot but sooner or later they will finish these chances.

His work rate from a movement standpoint has been unbelievable though.

Well they'd want to, because Madrid will score again themselves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,232 ✭✭✭TheRiverman

I think Ronaldo will score at least one goal tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Lewandoski having a stinker yet again.

He looks really lethargic which confuses me when you see this tie is EASILY the biggest game of the season.

Ref seems to be doing grand so far!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

What was Navas diving at? Did he think it was International Rules and trying to prevent a wide?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,294 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

That was more a hand ball than Milners was last week

Moronic risk to take by Marcelo

Bayern should have had a penalty.

    Great first half. Flew by.

I have no idea how there are only 2 goals in that half.

Bayern should move Kimmich up front, he appears to be the only player they have who can finish a bloody chance against Madrid.

have Bayern no striker on the bench? Lewandowski has been poor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Madrid really do get a lot of desicions at home. Let's not pretend it doesn't happen.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

I can't get over how bad the defences are, that sule is one of the slowest players I've ever seen. Ramos is a shambles and I honesto y think he'll cost Spain in the WC. Liverpool if they make if to the final shouldn't fear any of the 2.

Should have been a penalty to Bayern. Real will need hometown decisions given how vulnerable they are and they usually get loads of them

They get more decisions than anyone else. There isn't a shadow of doubt about that. Anyone that says different is at it.

The conspiracy theories about Real getting hometown decisions by European referees are so childish.
