When you really look at it, Madrid have enjoyed a huge amount of luck to have dominated this competition over the past 4 years, on top of being an excellent team of course. If that luck doesn’t run out tonight, it very well might do in Kiev. I just hope Liverpool are there to take advantage of it. :D

They are playing against other big teams though ffs. If your argument is that all big teams get favourable decisions at home, you'd have more of a point - even if I still disagree. But to single out one or two teams, as though refs have this pressure hierarchy in their head where the inherently feel more pressure than against other big sides, or just conspiracy theory nonsense. Its loser talk, as it's easier to believe you lost or that the other team is better because of outside forces than to acknowledge their superiority.

Do you think they have got more favourable desicions than other teams though. Why is it loser talk I don't care about Madrid. It's my opinion and a lot of people see it too.

Bayern should be winning this. Very strange tie

Real are far from infallible, they are there to be got at.

If Real get to the final, they'll have beaten the French, Italian, and German champions in the knockout stage

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,989 ✭✭✭BenK

If Bayern can get the next goal, I could see Real buckling under the pressure.

    Game on!

I don't mind it, especially there when the rest of his team were ready to leap on him and more importantly he's still contracted to Madrid!

Tbf, it's not like he's left them, he still plays for them so kind of allowed in this case.

Still fancy Madrid for it. Bayern will have to leave space as they push for a winner.

If you don't want to celebrate then don't ala Salah (not that I am a fan of that) but the apology celebration is crap

Is there anyone from either side that could be suspended for the final does anyone know?

EDIT: Ribery, Thiago, Casemiro and now Modric. And any potential reds.

You would have to look at all decisions in every game before you could make such a statement. For all I know, Brighton could top the PL charts in benefiting from contentious decisions. The fact that it's always the top and very best teams that attract such statements surely must be interesting to you right? The team with the best players and manager won that game because of refereeing decisions.

Two on the right booked for Real now

Benches could be a factor here. Madrid's looks stronger on paper. Surprised Zidane hasn't turned to Nacho and Casemiro yet. Bale there as well if he wants to go for the jugular.

Alba has been outstanding going forward tonight.
Vasquez and Varane have been terrible.

That keeper must be kicking himself now haha

For all their good play, Bayern just don't look sharp enough at key moments.

    Time for Bale to shine.

Casemiro on now, a man that could literally knife a player in front of the ref and get away with It.

    Ah come on, that’s a bit over-the-top.

    He’d probably get booked.

Madrid all set up to soak up pressure and break at pace now. Fancy them to score again with the state the Bayern defense has been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,521 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Bayern trying to dump a big number 2 on Real now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,954 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    What a save

Think I can see Bayern knicking this in the last 5 minutes, you'd swear they were the home team with how much of the game has gone so far.

Ref having a very composed game

Think Bayern would be a much more difficult opponent for Liverpool than Real in the final.

How is James rodriguez allowed play against Real Madrid if he is on Loan?

I would agree in relation to defense

Only the Premier League blocks loan players from playing against their parent club. And even that has only been the case for the past few years.

I would agree in relation to defense

I'd agree Madrid line up better than Madrid against Liverpool, but on the other hand Madrid have some absurd big game players. Either way the winner tonight has to be the reasonably heavy favourite.

I dont think so regarding Casemiro, i want madrid to win and agree with him

In rest of Europe (biggest leagues) on loan players can play against parent club. I think UEFA trying to get it into The Premership

Why would he not be allowed to play against them?

That was some pass from Süle. If Modric did that the commentators would be applauding him.
