need help with ps2 connection

hey i need help with an issue im having..so i have a 4k tv and i bought a component to hdmi converter upscaler from amazon and i just set it up to test it first time but im not getting a picture..it just says no signal even though its plugged..can anyone help me out?

i thought composite was worse than component? or does it not make a difference? says in amazon reviews that it works for some people

Maybe get in touch with the crowd on amazon and ask them whats gonig on they may send you a new unit.

i just did there..they replied straight away saying they will send out a pro converter version of it

The item you've bought doesn't seem to be an upscaler, it's simply a converter. The PS2 outputs at a maximum of 480p, and some TV's will not display resolutions this low over HDMI. The TV itself may support 480p, but only over a component connection.

I think a component connection is likely going to be the best you can get on a PS2, I use it on a 1080p TV and it looks OK.

Those HDMI converters are utter garbage usually. Component cables are much better.
