    Hi
Can I ask what your score was?
    Thanks

I'd say it's overall because you could pick more than one region

I got 65 percentile, I think I got the same for the clerical officer role.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,273 ✭✭✭UsedToWait

I think your region will prove as important as your score when it comes down to it..

No use being top of the pile where there's no vacancies,.

    I got 157

68 here. I got 90 for the grade 3. I really missed the numerical test in this one.

u think it will be hand a& b called to the next stage or just a?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 442 ✭✭eimaj18

Has anyone had any offers to progress to the next stage? I would have thought that there would be vacancies in at least some counties. It's a really different way of doing things, but I'm used to the PAS (Civil Service) way of doing things.

I haven't heard anything yet anyway although I reckon my region is very small in comparison to others.

I scored 94. I genuinely didn't expect such a high score. As I ran out of time on the error checking. Anybody have any idea of how long the recruitment process can take.

I got 79th, I chose limerick and tipperary! Don't know do I have much of a chance, best of luck all!

Really hoping this moves to the next stage in all regions soon, i need a change of direction workwise.

Q if anyone can help - if you have worked a few years at CO level in the public service will this be counted in the salary scale? Even if you are no longer in the PS?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,099 ✭✭✭julyjane

I would love some move on this soon. I work in a private sector role that has a lot of similarities with the assistant SO and CO roles so between that and the high scores I got in the aptitude tests I'd surely be in with a good chance. I love where I'm working at the moment but it's part time and I could really do with getting secure full time money and being able to think about things like pensions and health insurance. My youngest child will start school in September 2018 so hopefully the timing might all fall into place

I hope it works out for you julyjane.Kids get more expensive when school starts!

If i hear anything ill post here. I scored in 99th percentile so thinking chances good also but guess it just hinges on a vacancy being offered to this panel.. fingers crossed!

I was talking with a friend who works in the HSE in my region, there were 2 grade iv positions in her section & both were filled with internal promotion. Im unsure as to the approval process for the designation of vacancies for this particular panel. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be great.

Also, there is talk in the HSE of a Grade V panel similar to this process being set up after Christmas so keep an eye out

Do you have to be a grade 4 to apply for a 5?

Anybody know if there has been any movement across the country for the people in Band A of this campaign?

I asked about Band A for Waterford last week. They said that there was no new information available. Glacial.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭BMW22

In Band A - have heard nothing yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,099 ✭✭✭julyjane

Also heard nothing yet on this or the CO campaign. You would wonder why they spent so much money on both campaigns

Waiting for the Budget at this stage would be my guess.

I'm really sorry for venturing a bit OT, but my question is hardly worth its own thread. I see Tusla are recruiting for Grade VII Finance Officers, can someone who knows please tell me do the grades work in ascending or descending order ? ie is Grade VII higher than Grade VI or is it the other way round ?
    Thanks a lot !

VII is a grade 7 which is higher than IV (grade 4)

so its grade III (3) then IV (4), V (5) and so on up to grade VIII(8)

So yes Grade VII is higher than VI

No you can apply once you meet requirements in criteria. From what i recall working in a local authority you can jump 2 grades i.e. from III to V. Open to correction on that

Edit to add i checked today & you can jump 3 grades

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 463 ✭✭dollybird2

Hi, I would really appreciate if someone could tell me if I can apply for the assistant staff officer post via Publicjobs.ie and HBS at the same time? Also does anyone have any idea when campaign 2018 will open? Thanks a lot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 217 ✭✭HDonal

I've applied for this and finished in the 98th %, one more than in the Clerical Officer (g3) role.

Hopefully a job comes up in kerry eventually!

Im unsure what you mean. The HSE Grade IV campaign was ran by HBS this time. Do you mean a different campaign?

I think public Jobs just facilitated the advertising and linked to hbs for applying

I just received an email from HBS to say that there is no update! That's for the Cork area.
