Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

apart from all that colour psychology stuff like white makes you look bigger and red more aggressive, is green possibly bit less easy for players to pick out their teammates when they glance up for splitsecond to hit a pass?

As in if it's obviously easier to have peripheral awareness of where teammates are if they wore Hi-vis yellow rather than camouflage grass colour shirts for example, ....then surely playing in red&white stripes or pale blue or whatever must be that bit better than green?

basically I'm thinking we should change the national kit to a flecky tricolour with Hi-vis orange and bright white reflector stripes :pac:

There are not many traditionally pure green teams that are permanently successful. Palmeires and Panatinaikos maybe. St Etienne used to be big.

It ain't bothering Cork City too much at the moment. When I see Shamrock Rovers, it's just a collection of some stripes that look bigger, and bits between that I can't see with all the grass...;)

But I think the point is actually valid. All green can't help. Increasing visibility has been a facet in producing footballs, presume clubs have some concept of it when designing jerseys. Alas, we're stuck with it as our predominant colour.

Hi vis colours have proved unsuccessful, you get players passing to stewards.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Different sport but as a colour blind person with red/green deficiency a Mayo v Galway match is practically unwatchable.

The green is only an issue for spectators, as you're looking down on the pitch from an angle. When playing, your viewing angle to other players is flatter, so you the grass never an issue. Bushes around the pitch would maybe be an issue, but not at top levels.

But we were knocked out of all our world cup finals in games where we were wearing white! :P

Really, your team mates and opponents are going to camouflage in with the supporters in the background wearing their replica jersey's anyway!
