Location, on the doorstep of Dublin and Liffey Valley, lot of people choose to shop there rather than local. Its the advantages and disadvantages of living on the City commuter belt

+1! Agreed. Liffey Valley is getting better, especially with all them
New restaurants by the VUE cinema. Has anyone heard if the cause for the fire yet?

Celbridge must certainly be in the Guinness book of records for volume of Chemists and Hairdressers / Barbers in a town.

7 Chemists at last count and at least 8 hairdressers.

Restaurants wise it isn't too bad I guess.. DeMario, Canteen, Michelangelos, Greens, Celbridge Manor... along with pubs and sit-in takeaways. Maynooth is probably better.. even if 80% of the places in Maynooth are run by the same people.

Relative to the population of the town, 7 isn't that high.
    Newbridge has 11.
Off the top of my head skerries has 8.
Dunmamway in cork has 3, one for every 800 people
Up until five years ago celbridge probably had the least amount of chemists relative to population.

The reason why it looks like there's so many is the small size of the village.

Delhi Darbar has reopened fully; but state there could be interruptions as the pub gets repaired.

Must be a lot of sick people in Celbridge with the amount of chemists you have mentioned!
