Tempted, awful run last year from me. Weather was really warm, actually got sunburnt on the run. I ended up running a faster pace in a marathon 2 months later.

So I feel I'd like to go back and give it a proper go.

And it's not in Mullingar, it probably closer to Longford, I needed a police escort to find it :)

:D. It's in Dalystown...a couple of miles outside of Mullingar. Fantastic flat route. I'm not involved with the club but I find most events organised by Mullingar Harriers are excellent. I did it two years ago and am entered again for this year. Missed last year thank God (the heat !). Still cant fit into the Large t-shirt I got at registration...come to think of it..I dont think my 10 year old daughter can even fit into it ! So look for a few sizes bigger :-)

Just giving this a bit of a bump given it's on on Sunday.

My only affiliation with it is I'll be adventuring down to make a show of myself but hopefully it's as flat as I'm led to believe it is!

Best of luck to anyone participating.

Very enjoyable race yesterday. Not quite as warm as last year but still felt the heat. Well done to all involved in putting it on.

I found it very warm on the day. And I really could have done with a bit more water on the way around. Second water station was very late in the race I thought.

Some spread laid on afterwards though. Home in time to enjoy a nice afternoon. Enjoyable event.

I have to agree about the second water station. I was expecting it at 7 miles when we turned onto a tighter road and I died a bit when there was no sign of it. it was tough going until I got to it after another 0.5 miles.
It doesn't sound like much extra now but it felt tough during the race
