How to know when a sour has gone off?

As the title says, how do you know when a sour brew has gone bad? I picked up a Belgian wit (beers of the world kit). At bottling time it tasted sour but some research indicated that Belgian wits can be sour. how do I know if it has gone off?

It's not really a binary on/off situation. If it tastes nice, drink it. If it doesn't, don't.
