Can anyone recommend remote beaches in Dublin county or even Wicklow?. Any beach that's roughly within an hour of the Dublin city area, any recommendations?. Cheers.

Donabate has a very long beach the end of which would be kinda considered remote. I have heard you occasionally get naturists if that is why you looking for it

For what? If you want remote just look on google earth for the ones furthest away from the city and towns. Dublin and Wicklow's beaches can seem remote. For instance the beach in Poolbeg can be empty, quiet and very peaceful, yet it's a few minutes from the city centre.

    Magheramore beach.

I think Jonathan Rhys Meyers rode someone on the beach filming The Tudors, so you're in good company

It is overlooked by a couple of houses, & now with the kids on their holliers it'll have a steady stream of visitors.

Loughshinny is not very private. The north & south beaches in Skerries are very busy in all weathers, but the very end of the south beach out past the rugby club would be quiet enough.

The Howth/Sutton Cliffs walk has a couple of secret beaches. They are however, a bit of a hike from where you will need to park so if you have a lot of kit then it may be problem.

I'm guessing the OP isn't planning on having any kit with them at all, hence the need for a secret beach. ;-)

Actually Barnageeragh beach halfway between Skerries and Balbriggan would be a quiet one, park up on road and down the ladies stairs by the bridge over railway. Let us know when you are doing your filming anyway :pac:

Ireland's eye has two beaches, a slot and cliffs. They're stunning.

I don't think the OP has any interest in remote beaches to be honest.
