    Hi,

I am looking at upgrading the hardware in my current PC over time as I cannot afford to big a hit the momnent. PC is mainly used for gaming, such as BF1 and Battle grounds.

Not to good at the PC tech stuff so any advice would be great.

    Current Build is below.

    CPU
    Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.10GHz 34 °C
    Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
    RAM
    8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-19)
    Motherboard
    ASRock H61M-VG4 (CPUSocket) 28 °C
    Graphics
    DELL E228WFP (1680x1050@59Hz)
    2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (EVGA) 26 °C
    Storage
    27GB KINGSTON SS200S330G ATA Device (SSD) 32 °C
    465GB Seagate ST3500312CS ATA Device (SATA) 27 °C

    CPU: Check eBay/Adverts/CEX for Core i7-3770 or Xeon E3-1220 v2 / E3-1240 v2 / E3-1270 v2 - don't pay more than €160.

    SSD: MX300 (SATA) 275Gb is €91

GPU: Geforce 1050Ti goes for ~€150, 1060 3Gb ~€210 (nearly twice as fast in games).
You should be able to make back 90-100 for the 750Ti

AFAIK you would benefit from upgrading CPU first (for BF1/PUBG)

I agree with the CPU upgrade (also consider a cheaper i7-2600) but I would say the GPU should take priority. The 750Ti is not great for Battlefield or PUBG and 1080p mostly low settings is required.

i5-2400 will not hold a stable 60fps in either at the same time but it will do well enough that a new card should be the first port of call. I'm actually playing BF1 at the moment on that exact spec - an i5-2400 with an MSI GTX750Ti. It gets by pretty well at 2560x1080 low settings at 40-60fps.

    GTX750Ti will get you €70 2nd hand, GTX1050Ti is €150 to buy and it's a big upgrade on a 750Ti (BF1 medium-high at 60fps).

As Kiki said a GTX1060 is considerably more powerful for not much greater outlay, though it does require a stronger PSU so depending on what PSU you have, it may require a new power supply to boot if you chose that option.

i5-2400 will get you €60-70 and i7 2600 or 3770 will cost between 120-150 depending on model.

If you prefer solid 60fps at low graphical settings, get the i7 first. If you prefer high quality visuals at 45-60fps, get the new card first. :)

I would say the SSD is also not strictly necessary to begin - you already have the 30GB one which is fine for the OS which is the biggest difference really.

Is something limiting you in the current build? What do you use it for?

If its for gaming, and you are struggling, and you have a semi decent power supply, you could look at getting a hd7970 graphics card secondhand. Would probably get one for just 20-30 euro on top of selling on your 750ti. It would be a good bump up without breaking the bank. Its should max out anything at the resolution you are running

Great advice ,Thank you very much.

Current build is playing BF1 fine. Graphics on Battlegrounds is poor. Would like to play more morden games with decent graphics. Not looking for ultra just yet.

    Would my motherboard take a i7 ?

    Thanks again for your advice.

CPU support list for your motherboard

The Xeons I mentioned are the same as i7, 4core/8thread.
