Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

drain into neighbours property

    I moved into a house in 2013.

    The previous owner of the house told me the following;
    "when the housing estate over the back wall was built, the developer allowed me to connect a drain pipe into their drain system. The drain was to alleviate winter time flooding in the back garden."

    I've since discovered that a neighbours similar drain has been blocked up by the management company of the estate.

    How can I protect the rights to use the drain connection into the estate which has been in existence for over 10 years now? Even though the arrangement was informal with the developer, I assume that with the passage of time, I have established rights to the drain connection.

    If the management company blocked up my drain connection, all I would have is a conversation with the previous owner, so I'd like to prepare now to prevent

    I could get a video survey of the drain to prove its existence and hope I never need it in the future or an independent engineers report.

    Any advice?
