Lads, we may get a new CB. That Sanchez lad is poison.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,444 ✭✭✭Charliebull

This has descended into pure muck
    Sanchez is playing awful
    Winks is just plain terrible
Lamela and Gio look up for it at least

Sanchez confidence shot to pieces ... he looked so promising 18 months ago but he's gone backwards for 6-9 months

    Only good points are
90 mins for Lamela and Gio
    Tru to next round

If Boro had come at us earlier in the 2nd half I think they would have scored more.

Sanchez ?!? Was that Errorier in his jersey ?!? fcuking terrible.
Tanganga - very good, going forward, and defending!

Has Eriksens free kick landed yet ?
Seriously though, how bad , or not give 1 fcuk, would you be to just blast it over the bar like that!?!?!

And , WHY IS HE STILL TAKING FREE KICKS AND CORNERS !?!?!?! useless cnut.

Anyway, we stumble into the next round...

Struggling to get excited about this to be honest. Excluding domestic cup and European competitions he has only ever started 13 league matches in Portugal. 16 more as a sub, 0 goals, 2 assists. Meant to be an attacking midfielder/playmaker according to wiki but the stats say otherwise.

Feels like perhaps a deal done to facilitate a bigger Mendes deal over the summer. He's a fucker for those sorts of deals.

very few fit and performing players across the squad.

    one in is a result.

tanganga emerging to compete at rb/cb is a result.

it really is about getting bodies in at present, and not always pulling other players out of position all the time to cover injury, suspension, form

we're a better squad than we were last week, a physical striker next and onwards from there.

Same sort of stats another Portuguese teen arrived into English football in 2003. People thought Ferguson had lost it

I'll take a bet that he won't end up half as good as Ronaldo statistically.

In that case, I look forward to us selling our best player to Real Madrid in 3-4 years time as part of 'our special relationship' with them.

I really hope he’s the next Ronaldo, but nicking players from under the nose of West Ham rarely ends well.

I don't think they're the same sort of stats at all.

Ronaldo played for Sporting 27 times in 2 seasons before joining United, he scored 2 goals. I dunno how many assists.

Our new guy has made 29 appearances in 2 years with 2 assists.

I think they hold up as similar anyway?

BTW I'm not suggesting for a second this guy is gonna be CR7 or even close, just commenting on the reaction to his apperances as a negative.

Really? Not sure if thats in jesr or serious.. if serious then that right there perfectly sums up a big part of what is wrong with Tottenham for the last 10+ years.

There's a certain percentage of our fans who are fine with us selling our best players to other teams and that's part of the reason why Levy and ENIC get away with spending less, not backing managers with appropriate funds, failing to sign anyone for 500 days, buying players at the 11th hour and buying the likes of N'Jie, Nkoudou and more.

i think it was said in jest

if he was serious it would have been at least 200

Big win tomorrow. Lawro predicting a 1 all draw so good omens. We will go on a run and prove our doubters wrong. Celso and Lamela to score and Ged to score on his debut.

Id be happy with Le Celso and Lamela to start nevermind score.

I'd love for Lamela and GLC to start. They deserve it the way they've been playing lately.

And I really hope Eriksen doesn't start. While he may be around for a while longer (since we've had no bids for him), we need to stop starting him.

I dont think Erikson is going anywhere soon..

    Celso and Lamela to start

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,119 ✭✭✭joeguevara

Also Tanganga to continue his dream run by scoring. 3 nil spurs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,887 ✭✭✭✭tom1ie

Sanchez dropped, which is deserved. Lo celso and lamella start together. Delighted.
Eriksen on the bench. Hopefully we don't need him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,428 ✭✭✭MrKingsley

Whilst I like the look of the team I’d worry that we are very light, physically, in midfield. Especially away to a team like Watford.

Delighted Lamela starts. This is the perfect game for him

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,913 ✭✭✭Ormus

Yeah plenty of creativity in the line up but Dele and Winks are unlikely to win the physical battle in the middle. Tanganga playing his third game in a week in three different positions is a massive ask. He’s looked good so far but it still seems unfair on him.

best start in a long long time

think we're moving it to aurier too often, his output doesnt merit it.

lamela and lo celso cutting in and running at centre is the way to stir this up

lo celso still wants to long on the ball

    good stuff tho

predictable pair of lapses since from winks and tanganga out of nothing have perked watford right up

never a foul/booking on that latter tho

alderweireld not only our most ambitious passer, possibly our best passer

oliver going to var but that was hardly a red on tanganga

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,220 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

It's his comms that are broken. not a VAR check i think.
