I missed the opening 10 mins, the last 25 has been all dortmund.

Dortmund are class, could easily be level. That they have significantly more possession than Spurs, who usually dominate possession, is incredible. Got out of jail there too!

Superb game so far. Spurs on the backfoot for a lot, but we've been lethal on the counter. Get a few more shots on that keeper, as he looks very ropey.

Dortmund really could punish us though, so we need to be solid at the back.

Just looking at group long term Dortmund have Madrid last who may well play a B team. We have to win tonight to have any chance of qualifying imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,733 ✭✭✭Glebee

Dortmund are quality alright even though there missing a few.

Massive win for Spurs. Not just the 3 points, but getting that win at Wembley. Fantastic performance, and really well managed by Poch. We got lucky with their disallowed goal, but we really went at them in the 2nd half.

Sanchez and Aurier both were very good, and they will prove very important for us this year.

And what can you say about Kane? ****in legend :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,006 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

We Could have had 6 in total but could have been 4 2 down at half time.

Looked unplayable at times in that second half.

    New lads look great.
    Son really impressed too.
Erikson in the form of his life
Vertonghen red was a joke (commentator clarified it was a 2nd yellow).
Sissoko, terrible. Just can't fathom what he's for.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,386 ✭✭✭MonkieSocks

Mature performance by the team tonight.

Let Dortmund do all the running in the first half and used the ball well when we got it back.

Let Wembly Leg syndrom set in;)

Second half we could have got a few more, yeah their dissallowed goal should have stood.

Son and Harry were brilliant together.

Verts was excellent until he was sent off.

But though Erik was the king tonight

=(:-) Me? I know who I am. I'm a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude (-:)=

Half 5 kick off at Wembley.

    Official team is,

Lorris, Tripp,Toby , Sanchez, vertongen, dier, sissoko, eriksen, alli, son and super Kane!

Nice attacking line up. Should we win we are up to 2nd overnight I guess ahead of the red penis v blue penis jumped up Sunday sky are hyping up as usual.

We've just wasted 45 minutes while it dawns on the team that Swansea aren't going to hand over the three points. The Spurs dressing room should need a new coat of paint after Pochettinos half time talk.

The only positive, and it is coming on a game where Swansea aren't really interested in crossing the half way line, everything about Sanchez reminds me of a young Lesley King. He even looks like him from the distance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

This has 0 - 1 Swansea written all over it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,733 ✭✭✭Glebee

All spurs so far. Just need to grab one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Btw I agree on the comparison between Ledley and Sanchez, although the latter is still quite rough around the edges he's got massive potential and looks a future club captain.

2 hand balls by the same guy in the box, unpunished. Swansea very lucky.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,444 ✭✭✭Charliebull

If it stays like this that is a shocking result, another two points dropped

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,220 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

Mike Dean has got to be the worst ref in the league.

Regardless of that, we've been very poor. We seriously struggle against teams that just sit back and defend. No real threat in that entire game. Quite a few players did nothing all game, and we were so bloody wasteful.

2 points dropped and an awful game overall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

    Awful

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,749 ✭✭✭golfball37

No urgency or pace. We were expecting something to happen rather than making it happen. We brought on Llorente and didn't play a ball into the box for 20 mins where he won the header.
Lack of urgency a real concern

Neither of them were a penalty the handball against us was though. I don't blame ref though as on first viewing I thought Aur handled too.

Very poor result after a great midweek win.

Maybe the first would've been harsh, but the second should've been a peno. In both he moves his arms away from his body rather than tucking them in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Btw I'm not excusing the performance, they were awful and shouldn't be relying on penalty decisions to win the game.

Second one didn't hit his hand I thought?

    We missed Davies.

Son was a left wing back who popped up on the right a few times.

Then Trippier went to left back and that just didn't work.

Sissoko offered f all as usual although he was marginally better then previous outings.

    Aurier was impressive again.

I see Paulinho score for Barcalona. Good goal too.

    Sky sports breaking news

    Poch press conference coming up,
Maybe he is going to retire immediately and announce repknapp as his successor

Eriksen hasn't travelled for the CL game, Alli is suspended and Dembele is out too, so we're fairly thin on attacking options.
Winks or Nkoudou will get a start I'd say.

Edit: Vertonghen is suspended too. Lamela, Rose and Wanyama are all still out. So I guess Foyth will start too.

Kane the bloody legend. So clinical. Spurs have been poor, but are 3 up thanks to him.

2-0 up after 16 minutes. Some great football from Spurs, and very clinical.

    3-0. Kane is unreal.

We should hammer this home today. I like Huddersfield and hope they stay up but we can get ten here today if we want

Just noticed that Toby has 3 yellow card already this season.

Was it last season or the one before that he went almost the entire season without giving away a free kick.

Seems odd, is it because he's on the right of a 3 man back 3 since Sanchez arrived.
