They are good mates, Depp played on his album

in the video Depp plays the drunk and Shane is the disapproving barman. I only notice now that the woman in the video, Depps missus, is actually Shane's longterm girlfriend

Apart from A-ha the rest of the lineup is absolute tosh.

Last year was bad but it looks like being worse this year.

I'd say they're a dead cert to play somewhere in Ireland if they are playing elsewhere.

    Longitude headliners?

I could see them take the Irish band slot on the bill (where Picture This/The Coronas were on the past 2 years), or they might do their own headline shows in Kilmainham/LATM.

I'm not sure they'll come back so soon after their 3Arena date in April, but never say never.

What about Snow Patrol/The Killers/Macklemore for longitude?

Macklemore already has a Spring date at the 3Arena, so I can't see him coming back so soon. One who may potentially headline (and possibly Latitude) is either Florence + the Machine or the XX, who are both doing Melt! in Germany that weekend.

Also just noticed he is touring with Kesha in America during June and July.

Jack Johnson has announced a European tour with no Irish date

Kodaline playing Malahide Castle in early June (8th I think)

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,410 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

starting to doubt the Rolling Stones will play Ireland next year with no Croke Park dates available and Aviva being too small. They would of announced Slane by now for the Xmas market
