    Hello RicherSounds,

I'm looking for a speaker / music player for the house, It will be in a room where there's currently no much player at all.
    Here's what I'm after:

    Must haves:
    Good quality speaker
Ethernet connected - so can play music over network / connect to internet services.

    Nice to haves
    Radio
Knobs/buttons for control (i.e. no need for an app)

I know the Sonos Play 1 meets the 'must have' criteria, but do you have anything that would tick all the boxes?

    Cheers!

    Hi Mickalus,

The Sonos definitely does tick all the boxes. Especially the Sonos Play 5 which sounds stunning and has touch control as well as app control. The only other thing I would recommend would be a mini HiFi system with network streaming. The Marantz MCR611 is a great system with CD Player, DAB and internet radio, Bluetooth and wifi streaming. It is also controlled by a remote control. The only thing is you would need to add speakers to it but we do bundle deals with speakers where you can save a bit of money when bought together.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the suggestions.
Can you recommend a speaker to go with the mini HiFi system?

Also, do you have anything with that feature set (or at least most of the features) that's a bit more affordable?

    Thanks again!

How about the Denon Ceol N9?

At £249 / €309 it may be slightly expensive but it does really tick a lot of boxes!
    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201074-ceol-rcdn9.aspx

It features ( wait for it) CD / Internet Radio / USB input / Apple Airplay / Bluetooth / Spotify Connect AND it also has analogue and digital inputs!

It also has an old fashioned remote and fascia buttons....

If you wanted to add a pair of decent speakers we have some Yamaha NS BP182 that retail at £49.95 / pair but we would bundle together with the Denon CEOL at just £269 / €329 ( Euro price would also include shipping)

Thanks again and keep us posted if we can assist in any way,
