    I bought a house also as a single person earlier this year-I'm 39; no issue with mortgage approval-3.5 times salary; haven't moved in yet as getting a bit of work done on it, its a great feeling getting those keys!

    I earn over 50 a year. House was 155, but I had approval for 175
