Switching from Buy to Let to Ownero occupier

Hey I'm thinking of buying a house only problem is I've to borrow a lot of money from family so thinking of just renting it out for a year or two first to pay everyone back. Is it possible to switch from Buy to Let to owner occupier down the line? Will you be able to switch to the lower rate?
