What size car to pull 14ft caravan?

Sorry if this sounds a stupid question but my Uncle is going to buy a caravan soon and he wants to know what size car (or engine?)would be required to be able to pull a 14ft caravan?

I should mention he is also buying a car soon so this new car will be the car towing the caravan.

It goes by weight. You should have a maximum towing weight on the plate of the car. Once the caravan is rated less than that weight, then you can tow it with that car, provided you meet any licence requirements.

It's not quite so straightforward with a caravan. It is recommended that the max weight of the caravan does not exceed 80% of the weight of the car and definitely not over 100%.
