I'm thinking of trying Pilates in the hope that it might help strengthen my dodgy back.

Has anyone done them in or around Limerick and if so, do you recommend anyone specific?

    Thanks for any info.

I do pilates in Energize in The Strand Gym with Karen. I would definitely reccomend her Thursday evening class.
I've heared lots of good things about The Pilates Room though. They have a studio in Castletroy and Thomond Park.

    Hi there

Just a word of warning. Pilates is very good for strenghtening the back. However if you already have a bad back I would be very careful what class you go to. If you end up in a very strong class you could do more damage. Maybe try a class given by a physio and let them know about your back. They wont have you doing anything your not suppose to.Alot of physio's train as pilates teachers and run classes. I would also recommend yoga. Very good for strengthen the back
