Are you looking for a restaurant or a bar that does food?

For the former, apparently Da Mimmo's is a great Italian on Amiens Street, never eaten there but heard great reports.

For pub food Brew Dock at Busaras could be an option, not that far of a walk from there.

You won't have an issue getting a table in the Church. Or try the lotts or anywhere in the Italian quarter. Or 101 talbot or graingers.

Da Mimmo is in North Strand and is very small. Likely to be busy

If you are looking for something quick and easy and are staying in the Ashling Hotel, why not head down to Smithfield?  Oscars bar have a full menu also the Generator (have ate in both places and they are grand).  Also My Meat Wagon is there if you fancy a bit of BBQ.  You could either walk up to Croker or there or it will be a short taxi ride away.

Da Mimmo pizza in Cusack's pub next door. Sorted.

Independent Pizza up on Drumcondra Road - best pizza in Dublin pre Da Mimmo.

If you are thinking of Independent Pizza I would book asap, learned that lesson after going to Springsteen. they weren't taking walk ups, so my wife booked us in this time.

+1 on Da Minnos, ate there for the third time last weekend and the shin of beef was just devine. Book early though.

Another option might be the Woodstock cafe in Phibsboro though they dont take bookings AFAIK. Theres a Smokin Bones just opened up in the shopping centre so that might be an option too.

Wallace's Asti on Russell Street just down from Croke Park but again likely to be very busy.

Ryans/FX Buckley steakhouse pub on Parkgate Street (2 minute walk from Ashling) would be handy. Lovely food too.
