Yes you can watch regular 2D on a 3D television. 3D is only a feature that can be used if desired or not.

    Hi Masterboy123.

That LG seems to be listed with out the free 6 year on our website. (I'll double check if this is correct and revert back).

Not all TV's qualify for our free 6 year Guarantee.

I read reviews online that this TV supports HDR after firmware update.
    Can you please confirm that?

    Hi Masterboy123.

Maybe I'm being silly but when I click the link to the TV above its blank?

What TV are you enquiring about and I can call the manufacturer to find out.

Regarding the LG we talked about before it does come with the 6 year free of charge.

    Hi Masterboy,

thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you - the second link is for an LG 55UH61 series and it has LG's 1200 PMI motion processing whilst the 55UH661 has 1700 motion processing.

The 55UH661 also has an additional USB socket and has LG's Centre pedestal rather than the 'legs' of the '61' series ( the centre pedestal is much better for placement on most TV stands!)

I'm happy to do the 55UH661 at the same price as the 55UH61 series - ie £599 / €699 on a Boardie deal if you were interested:

Thanks again and keep us posted if we can assist in any way,

    Hi John,

Firstly hope you both don't mind me jumping in on this thread but the Boardie deal you just mentioned above sounds great.

I'd be interested in purchasing the 55UH661v, with delivery to Dublin, if possible to get same deal?

    Thanks and best regards,
    James

    Thanks for the explanation.

I am happy to accept the Boardie deal. LG 55UH661V for 699 euros.

Please PM how do we close this deal?

    Hi James,

Unfortunately the 55UH661 we were quoting for masterboy is our last one. Were there any other TVs you had your eye on?

    Hi David,

Thanks for your response. I had my eye on a few (from three different brands).
I'm thinking 50"-60" range; veering towards a 55" TV. It's for a bright living room and will be approx 8ft distance from couch.
Primarily for Netflix, some gaming, and will be watching a lot of 720p/1080p TV shows so upscaling important.

    * Hisense: My brother got a big Hisense m5500 model last year from your store and I was very impressed with it; but unfortunately the 2016 models no longer available. I was wondering if you could give a quick comment on the Hisense 2017 models (most interested in N6800) re: their picture quality and if they are a step up from last year (can't find any reviews online)?

    * LG: With the 55uH661v out of the picture, the LG 60" 4K Smart TV is intriguing. Could you comment on what model # it is and whether or not it's a big step down from the uh66 series? I suspect the IPS screen might be good for my bright living room.

    * Panasonic: The 50dx802 is tempting, and sure sticks out, but I'm reluctant due to the smaller screen & massively increased bulk over other TV's. More appealing would be a clearance 58dx750 but it's unfortunately not available from Belfast store.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    James

    Hi James,

To answer your questions in order:

The Hisense TVs are very good this year, with the ULED panels they have a wider colour spectrum and increased brightness as well as contrast so they are definitely a step up on last years models. The only thing that lets the Hisense down I find is the smart hub which is not as comprehensive as other manufacturers.

The LG 60 inch is the UH625, it is a very good TV but the UH661 has a slightly higher refresh rate at 1700PMI as opposed as 1200PMI. It also has one less USB input than the UH661 but both are 4K HDR panels.

The Panasonics are far superior panels in my opinion. In terms of the black levels and colour/ contrast ratio and motion processing the 802s are one of the best TVs from last year. It is a shame about the bulky frame design as it has put a few people off. If you are looking for a larger screen size the 58DX802 is down to £999 or we have the Panasonic TX58DX902 for £1499 which boasts a better design and Panasonics flagship LED panel. We do not have any of last years DX7 series left I'm afraid.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

...and as I often do - I'll lob in a quick hand grenade..

How about an LG55UH770 - ex display but excellent nick - £599 / €699 with delivery and our 6 year warranty included..

    http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-55UH770V

Even better Motion control processing than the 55UH661, an additional HDMI input..

    Keep us posted,

    Hi David & John,

    Thanks for the detailed responses.

I've narrowed it down to the LG 55UH770 vs the Panasonic 58DX802. What would be best price for each inc delivery to Dublin?

Would you consider the 802 worth the extra cost on picture quality alone? Any idea which is best upscalar of 720p/1080p?

    Thanks and kind regards,
    James

    Hi James,

I honestly think the 58DX802 would be worth the money. We had a 902 running in the demo room and even for blu ray and 1080p content it's pretty special. The 802 is quite similar, I have only seen it running once but the contrast is excellent and the black levels and colours really separate it from the others. In comparison I would say the LG would look a little bit duller in terms of colour but then that's my opinion of it.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi David,

I'm currently leaning towards the Panasonic 58DX802 at £999. Is that rock bottom price or any chance of a boardie special?

Could you please comment briefly on the box size as it's likely bigger than a standard TV package (I assume it could still easily fit through a standard size door though)?

    Thanks and kind regards,
    James

    Hi James,

Unfortunately as this is end of line I don't have much movement on the price. The best I could do for you would be £995.99 including shipping.

The box is a little bigger but only in terms of depth. It would fit through a standard door no problem. The box dimensions are 93cm x 150cm x 47cm.

If you would like to go ahead with it please send me a PM with your contact details and I will call you back to process the order.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David
