    Hi, very frustrated here.

I have a normal 2008 Golf GTI. For some reason insurance companies think it's a special Pirelli Edition, more powerful and only 10,000 ever made.

I can't get insurance on it now. I have rang Central Registration office and they say details are correct. When I enter car details for online quote it comes up as the correct car first but during the process it becomes a Pirelli edition:

A Pirelli will have a much higher premium. Aviva won't give me a reason as to why they won't quote me. I tried to get a quote without the reg and entered the normal GTI and got a quote for €700
    Any ideas?!!!
