Gc lads to mark each other, someone left field to win.

    Vuillermoz or benoot.

Actually, thomas to attack and soften up froomes rivals, but hold in for the win

Day for Pierre Rolland to go up the road maybe?

I think BMC, Astana and Sky may well all fancy the win on this stage and expect the GC lads to battle it out on the Planche.

Froome v Porte and love to see Dan up there, Contador to get dropped and confirm he won't be a feature in the GC battle.

Sky will want to put down a marker on the first mountain stage. Froome won here in 2012. I think he'll win again and swap places with Thomas in the GC.

Froome for this one. Can see porte trying an attack with no support from his team but the skybots pulling him back before froome goes to the front on the road or at least goes into yellow. very hard to see sky loosing yellow at all for the rest of the race.

expect endless drivel from carlton kirby aswell about sagan

I hope Porte lights it up. Proved in the dauphine that he is flying. Hopefully he has the form because he needs 30+ seconds.

Porte is the man for today

It'll be interesting, I think Porte was too good at the Dauphine and Froome is just now hitting top form, so expect to see the Dauphine reversed and Froome beating Porte, but not by much.

Pinot lost a few minutes yesterday, maybe he's thinking of the win today?

Depends on the big GC teams, are they happy to let a break go or do they want a stage win to be contested on the final climb....

My Head says Froome, my heart says Porte.

FDJ said before the Tour that Pinot wouldn't be going for GC.

Since Pinot did purposely lose a few minutes on Stage 3 and he is from the area close to La Planche de Belles Filles, you would think that he is planning to go for victory today... but he has played down his chances and has said that he will wait to at least the weekend before attempting a stage win.

Maybe we'll see Thomas dancing up the climb and then having to track stand to wait for Froome to catch up a la some of 2012's grimmest moments?

BMC on the front, Richie wants the win today?

just incase you're noot watching, you've missed nothing but an hour of talking about yesterday's finish.

BMC doesn't seem to be giving much leeway to the break at all. They are putting in some effort to keep it down they'll be well cooked by the time Porte really needs them.

He really needs them now, as in to bring back the break. On a relatively short, steep climb, team strength won't count for much. Nonetheless he'll want/have Roche there at the end.

They key for the stage is to attack at the right point ...I think 4km to go point ...half way up the climb so Porte will need someone for half the climb

Don't say that, That means Dan Martin is gonna go with 6k to go and fall 50M from the finish

Dan Martin has a medical consultation: The Katusha time trial specialist is currently enjoying a tow from a Skoda hatchback, where a doctor in the back seat is preparing to minister to some wound that doesn’t seem immediately obvious. There’s just under 100km to go and the gap is down to 2min 17sec.

    Hopefully nothing serious
