    Hi

I am moving to Canada in a few months, however I am going travelling for a couple of months first so I don't want to lug my laptop and xbox with me. I was hoping to fill a suitcase with winter clothes and get it shipped over. I want to stuff my laptop and xbox in there too. Will I get screwed for tax as they might think that these electronics were bought on the cheap, when in reality I have had them years.

    Any input would be great.

I sent the Xbox over via An Post. I had an AirBnb booked, asked the house owner if I could use it as a ship-to and he agreed. Then I just posted it from me in Ireland to me in Canada...no duties.

Swapped out the power cable, Xbox works great.

Laptop...I brought 2 of them in my hand luggage, no issues either
