As has just been mentioned after Prime 1s horrific, unjustified murder, Prime 2 is definitely the lesser of the two games. Just not right having Prime 2 in this list if Prime 1 is already gone

I don't need to comment on Metroid Prime 1. Removing it us a crime against good taste.
Also saying Mario golf has no depth comes across as someone nor having played it. Camelot crafted what is basically a golf RPG which gives the single player a huge amount of depth and content. Camelot's Mario Golf (and everybody's golf which they also make ) are criminally underrated.
Also Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is another criminally underrated game and is far from a gimmick game. It's one of the best platformers ever made and was created by the same team that would go on to make Mario galaxy.

I actually found metroid prime platforming to be really good. It was surprising to have great platforming on a fps at the time. It did just borrow from jumping flash in that regard but if it worked why not use it.
I really enjoyed Baten Kaitos. It had an amazing battle system with loads of nuance. It wasn't perfect though. The story was rubbish, the sound mix was tribe with the VA sounding like it was recorded underwater and the battle system took a while to open up as it took a long ti b e for your deck to expand and let you use enough cards to start doing useful combos.
