I love the way Jordie Barrett carries the ball

Except for the turnovers and defensive work?

I think you had your mind made up before the game started

Sure buddy, I was going to say the same to you, your argument is rinse and repeat

    Chronic pressure on now.

Hoping for a break to nick this

Williams like a deer in headlights when the ball is coming towards him. Great chasing it, poor underneath it

Stander has been such a disappointment this tour

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

Is Daly still on to take a last minute penalty from his own 22?

The Lions attack has not been good today. It's had patches certainly. But they've only had 1 real try scoring chance. Where were the penalties? Certainly 2 were outside the NZ 10m line. They had a man advantage for 10 and it took all 10 mins to squeeze 3 points from them.

No idea what you're on about tbh, they've been regularly able to create breaks and make ground with ball in hand.

The Lions attack over the 3 tests has been miles ahead of what we've been expecting. Probably as good as its ever been. Have to hold my hands up and apologise to Howley.

If the ball is at the back, scrum is over and it must be played.

NZ don't put it in the middle so it's at the back right away negating the entire point of a scrum.

Williams, magic run in test 1 aside, has been horrific. And I was advocating for him to play, he's with fantastic or awful but he's been awful more often.

Jones goes off we draw level. Jones back on, concede pen wit 3 points.

In fairness a minute before that he made a great catch and kick under a lot of pressure.

NZ pushing early on that scrum. Quite obviously.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

The Lions haven't looked like scoring a try today. They've 6 mins to get one from their 22. Sexton gone now too, and he was the conduit for a lot of the good stuff from Lions. Can't see it happening folks.

No bind from the loose head on Sinkler, Stander shouting it out, Garces ignoring it from the touchline.

Scrum has been pretty solid the other two tests. Turned into a bit of a shambles now.

It will have to be a stroke of luck followed by a stroke of genius I reckon at this stage

Win or lose now - the Lions have done a lot better this tour than many of us ever imagined.
Whether thats down to Gatland or some of the coaches under him I don't know, but fair play.

when the NZ 9 can roll it along the side without ever putting it in the scrum that's a shambles.

I play tighthead - I'm aware of the scrum laws, thanks.

They'd gone down before the ball was back each time - he just called resets instead of penalising them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,371 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Poite playing into NZ hands here with all the resets.

Exactly, they've been getting away since the start which is why I questioned why Murray didn't do it for the one NZ got the penalty from.

Somehow Sinckler finished that scrum lying on the ground beside the AB back row!

Class control of the ball at the back by Faletau

Farrell's handling and passing has been awful today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Lucky there again. Sinclair was at an angle from the off in that scrum and ended perpendicular.....

I haven't had Sky in ages so the once in a while I'm subjected to their commentary it's amazing how much worse it's been getting over time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

What on earth do you do here?

Farrell's handling and passing has been awful today.

Still the reason why the lions are in with a chance of winning this game

    Loving the tension :D

Lawes locks his head inbetween his legs, and he gets done for not rolling away. Harsh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

He had rolled to the side for me anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 898 ✭✭✭Schwanz

    Come on lad

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

What do the lions do if they get good territory, go for the win or take the draw?

Im almost certain Webb manufactured that penalty out of thin air.

Taken in the air is the only hope

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

That's a harsh penalty really. Thought it was play on really.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,833 ✭✭✭✭ThisRegard

    Ah ffs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

On what planet is that not accidental offside or a tackle in the air?

There is no outcome where this is an AB penalty.

EDIT: Nah Im just wrong and emotional, he grabbed at it, thought the ball just hit him

Nothing in that. NZ penalty. Crap. Tough on Owens. Can't blame him.
