Fwiw the 1.9jtdm engine in mine was excellent and never gave an issue. Obviously a 2.4 would be better but I do rate the 1.9 Just don't buy it for it's fuel economy. Mind you I always drove mine to enjoy it.

The 2.4 I know isn't as good on fuel as the older version but I don't care being perfectly honest.
You'd probably get 700 from a tank instead of 800km but that doesn't bother me in the slightest

So tomorrow is the big day, by this time tomorrow I'll have a 159 or something else entirely.

So guess what's parked in my garage? ;)
It did very well during it's 90 minute mechanical check up.
Positives, never crashed, engine is in sound condition and no suspension issues that they could see.
Negatives, couple of faults showed up during the diagnostic but mostly to do with blown bulbs.
    It also needs rear brakes.
The biggest issue is that the swirl flaps on the manifold have either been removed or they stuck open.
Considering it need a a belt and pump change then I'm thinking of putting a new manifold in but still unsure.
Was a lovely 100km drive home and everything bang on with zero rattles or pulling from side to side.
Have 4 brand new good years on the car and I'm going to have to get used to the q4 system cause it's quite a heavy car to push along.
But once or twice I found myself near the 160 mark without realising it. No road noise at all.
Got a reasonable discount off the price as the seller took into account the jobs needed and subtracted the estimated costs of the repairs.
Need to give it a good wash outside now and I'll fire up some pictures.
Was a long 2 months looking for a car but both the wife and I feel we have made a good choice and the dealer himself was nice to deal with which I always pay attention to regardless if the car is good or not.
Thanks everyone for their advice and suggestions.
Oh and I'm getting rid of the original stereo.. It's shockingly bad.
