Moving from Australia to Ireland?

We are Australians looking to move to Ireland. My husband has an Irish Passport and we love the idea of cheaper property prices we have just enough cash to buy something outright. Ideally we want to spend around 60k and slowly renovate. We are looking for advice on best town or areas to move? Where is there decent employment opportunities? Do you recommend the move? We want to have a new adventure and leave the ridiculously unbearable heat of Australia with all the snakes and sharks and spiders behind! Lol!
We have 3 children under 8 so any advice would be much appreciated!!!

60k lol try 120k starting out. even then you'll only pickup a rough fixer upper in the sticks.

Try these two sites for property. www.myhome.ie and www.daft.ie

Still plenty of houses available in France for under 60k! Just find a Brexit supporter desperately trying to sell up and get back to Utopia before the gates are shut. :D

Great country for rearing young children too.

You wouldn't really find a house in any fit condition in Ireland for that price. If you want to be near a big city you will be looking at 3 times that price at least.
There are still some cheaper places in the countryside, mostly in the counties that are still struggling from the recession which would mean poor job opportunities especially depending on what area you are looking to work in.
