Dan never has much luck but that is irrelevant when you see that

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,851 ✭✭✭✭average_runner

    Porte went off the road

Wish they would give the replay a rest tbh

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,749 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

So why do they wait for a technical but not for a rider who crashed due to misfortune of another rider causing it?

This is why the unwritten rule is crap.

Showed the replay twice in France.

Because the accident was human error.

    Hope he is ok

Because the accident was human error.

    Hope he is ok

But it was not the error of Dan Martin that Porte crashed.

I hope that the reports on the cycling news live feed is not correct that Dan might have crashed again.

Martin is back up and running but race radio tells us he's crashed again.

Nasty crash. Hope he's ok...looked in a bad way. Martin lucky to cycle away from that.

The problem with Aru's actions is not that he didn't sit up and wait for Froome, the issue is that he saw Froome had a problem, and chose to attack him at that moment. It simply comes across as cowardice and bad sportsmanship, and this is coming from someone who until 5 minutes ago would have loved to see Aru come in 5 minutes ahead of Froome today (now my opinion has changed). If the race was "on" as they say, nobody would wait, but it wasn't.

But it's so inconsistent. There's only seconds at the moment between Froome and the next few on GC. If Aru put his hand up for a bike change, no-one would say boo if Froome took off.

And Porte and Martin go down and out. Anybody stopping? No.

I was only just thinking that karma was looking favourably on Dan Martin, with Valverde off his back for once, and looking good for the stage, never mind GC. Then this.

Where are the Dan updates ffs

Let's see if Froome's waits now?
