Where are the Dan updates ffs

He slammed full force back first into the rock face. Jumped back up but he must be boiling with adrenalin. Wouldn't be surprised if he did himself some real damage that he'll be starting to feel right now.

Today highlights just how dangerous cycle racing is...

Porte stretchered into an ambulance. Very unfortunate. Hope he's not too seriously injured. Any update on where Dan Martin is? Watching tg4 here.

Don't understand why these guys are helping Froome to get back to Bardet.

But it's so inconsistent. There's only seconds at the moment between Froome and the next few on GC. If Aru put his hand up for a bike change, no-one would say boo if Froome took off.

And Porte and Martin go down and out. Anybody stopping? No.

What are you talking about? Of course Froome would be panned if he attacked while a rival had a mechanical.

As I already mentioned, the race is now on because attacks have occurred. If Froome or anybody else came down nobody would be waiting either. The difference is not yellow or non-yellow, the difference is when the incidents happen.

The top-10 is going to look a lot different tonight... Thomas, Porte and Majka all gone!

Dan Martin is with Quintana... no idea how far behind yellow jersey group.

    Edit... 1 minute behind.

I'm looking at the tracker and Dan is about a minute behind yellow jersey

Dan with a few decent riders now anyway. Mightn't lose toooooo much. A couple of minutes?

The unwritten rule today and how it is applied, the Porte crash who takes out Dan Martin, no unwritten rule applied to wait up for Dan Martin, it all leaves a bad taste today for me.

They all want to gain time on everyone behind.

    Just 70 seconds. C'mon Dan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

What will this mean for Dan's GC position?

why is kirby talking about froome winning and dedicating it to porte???

he is really boiling my piss today

Greg Lamont thought it was fine what Aru did.

Superb fighting chase by Dan. Fingers crossed for a Bardet catch, followed by cat and mouse leading to a Dan catch up and stage for Dan! He's earned it

Dan seems to be in good condition.

He might be panned but he wouldn't have a group around him shutting him down immediately telling him to have respect for the 2nd or 3rd on GC. I'd say he could live with that.

I find it strange. Why not let Froome sweat it and do the donkey work. It would blow the race open.

Just saw there he's with quitana 1.20 behind. He's still on the move thankfully. Test day tomorrow so at least he can recover.

Froome essentially forced the peleton to slow last year for his domestique so he'd be rightly panned.

As someone else noted. It's the inconsistencies of it all that bother.

Also, people mute the commentary if you don't like Carlton Kirby. It's more tiresome listening to that whinging than him

Dan is an absolute legend, chapeau
