Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,

I have reason to beleive that I'm autistic possibly 'High Functioning Aspergers', and I'm really confused on how to be assessed for this. What is the best approach on doing so?

    Thank you

Make an appointment with a clinical psychologist as they will be qualified to diagnose you. Best of luck.

If you go onto the PSI (psychological society of Ireland) website they have a list of registered psychologists on that. Just put in your area and you will get a list of psychologists in your area and ensure it is a clinical psychologist (educational psychologist could do also but they usually work with children and adolescents).

    www.psihq.ie

The "find a psychologist" tab in on the top left of the home page.

yea i done that and only one popped up in my area and as far as im aware, they dont do private work, but i will have to look further. i actually contacted an educational psychologist a while ago, as i was diagnosed with dyslexia not too long ago, and she pointed me towards a clinical psychologist. ive just contacted aspire there and theyre gonna send me on some info. round and round we go im afraid. thanks again

Have you considered finding one on that website anywhere in the country then contacting them and ask if they will conduct the assessment by Skype? It would be in essence the same as face to face.

its an option alright but i would rather a face to face. i may have to travel to be assessed. slowly getting responses here, so i may have some more option soon
