Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Temple Carrig making a big impact on the J league after their Fr Godfrey success last year.

5 from 6 for second in their section behind unbeaten Gonzaga.

CBC seniors are not to shabby either, mostly 5th years I believe so could be contenders next year, would be surprised if they aren't Murray qualifiers, if not winners.

    whatever happened to James Reynolds?

I don't know : I've seen them play twice this year and heard good things.

Gerard's JCT finally started to click yesterday against Kings Hospital. After a closely fought first half they ran out 28-10 winners in the end. Looks like their "reward" is a 1/4 final against Gonzaga away next week!

Did senior game not go ahead ? Their Senior pitch is poor at best of times

In Gerard's? Both games were played there - pitches in very good condition!

    Senior Results from yesterday

Presentation College Bray 31 V 12 Kilkenny College
Wesley College 10 V 8 Cistercian College Roscrea
    CBC Monkstown 17 V 32 Castleknock College

    Junior Results:
    CUS 13 V 15 Temple Carrig
    Castleknock College 17 V 17 CBC Monkstown
The Kings Hospital 10 V 28 St Gerards School

According to the Leinster Rugby site Newbridge conceded to High School yesterday at Junior level! That sounds very odd as I would have expected them to win comfortably!
Anyone know if that was the case?

A win would push newbridge to 3rd so wasn't like it was a dead rubber.

could easily be a mistake on the website

A mistake on website isn't major deal.
Schools would know through official notification of results/games masters

Anyone have thoughts on other provinces?

my understanding is that High School have withdrawn from the junior league as they were losing all matches by 50+ points and were fulfilling fixtures against B teams. Similar to CUS in the senior league.

Undersized backrow.. excellent rugby player.. stranger things have happened..

Has been done before.. and could result in a quick route to the senior rugby.

What team are Clongowes playing against Rockwell?

    Probably there C's.

Which would make you wonder - if their players are rested and don't put the work in from 1st to 6th year why should they be given preference when selecting professional players as was the case for so long. Surely the players who have bled for the Irish jersey should be selected before the ones wrapped in cotton wool?

Well they don't put as much into the friendlies as others schools because there isn't the competition for places - 60 per year I think.

That's the only explanation I can think for going easy pre-season.

As far as I'm concerned it's 1978 and they are still minnows of the competition with 1 Cup to their name.

Nah they're friendly results are way different to their cup results.

They put much more into the Cup regardless of injuries pre season.

Nevertheless we'll be waiting for them the next time they think they can storm the city, collect the spoils and go back to where they came from.

    Very different nowadays.
