Couldn't see a number in the shot just then.

Cummings giving it the absolute beans.

Gautier gets it absolutely wrong. Luckily it wasn't on the other side of the road

Ooops - Cyril Gautier goes headlong into the ditch on the descent. Jeez I really cant remember a tour with so many riders falling on the descents; is it just me or are the descents this year a bit more twisty and technical? Looks like Tom The Sausage Man from Ghent has just had enough of these dodgy descents. Maybe he is right?

fat blokes with beer bellys and 2 left feet have been doing the equivalent in football stadiums and on bar stools for decades

I'd like to think we're better than that.

What domestiques are with Froome? Kwiatkowski, Nieve and Landa?
I don't think any other GC rider has any domestiques left?

EDIT: Bardet has two team mates

Kwiatkowski, Henao and Landa I think.

I loved Kelly's dry response to Gautier being described as a good descender: "not good enough".

Oh I hadn't spotted Urán lurking in the bunch there.

OH No no no ...... cut to him taking a wiz

Don't think it's Henao. No sign of his Colombian jersey

Froome just cycled into a caravan to liven things up for you!
He probably just wanted to get some wifi so he could bet on himself as he's finding it so easy.

    Oh FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Froome should not have been able to get back to the group as easy as that.

    Kelly: "Bloody cameras" :D

Yep. Bardet has two team mates with him. He should have got them to go full gas

Well it's good to know that chivalry is alive in the favourites group

    16:28:47 CEST
The group of favourites waits for Froome and Aru to come back. It seems fitting that they both went off in the same place.

Not watching (at work) so I don't know whether it was justified.

They get a chance to put some pressure on Froome and Sky and they wait for him?

    FFS

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,749 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

They should have attacked when Froome went off, it is like that unwritten rule was applied again, which is crap.

The lead sky rider was lucky to between the caravans and not into one :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

    Quintana out of gas

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,010 ✭✭✭velo.2010

What was that all about? Sky made a mistake and the group waits!

Don't wait for anyone in the final 50km. Make it a rule FFS.

Froome is almost sleep-cycling to his 4th Tour win.

I thought we had the most boring tours, and impotent teams, during the time of Wiggins. But this week certainly takes the biscuit.

It's an argument for controlled doping anyway. Why didn't anyone try to put pressure on Froome, at least give it a go.

I'm even hoping for the return of the Phantom Tack Thrower from a couple of years ago to spice things up.

Any attack would have been futile in the extreme.
Sky still have four riders in the front group, they would have brought back any attack, easily
