    school? they are extending it, not sure about rebuilding any part of it.

    They seem to have knocked down the old wings. The Shelters with columns. Kind of a feature of old Irish Primary schools.

    The entire school is being rebuilt,

    Work started a couple of months ago, over the last couple of days they have removed the old bike sheds besides the white school and the prefabs that were in the front yard.

    The white school is being kept and updated inside to sit into the new structure. Before school resumes at end of August five in the classes in the first part of the school will also be demolished.

    The full build should take around two years.

    They have a Facebook page and twitter account under St Mochta's School BAG where they have been updating in the build etc.

    Yeah, the existing school is being demolished in stages and will be completely rebuilt. Only the original school (the 1930s white single storey bit that faces onto Clonsilla Road) will survive, but won't contain any classrooms.
