    location location location, it has a bit of land, get some planning permission for a luxury development and your also set - should you wish

    I mean, it's a lot of money, but it is a 10k sqft house (about 10 times the size of the average home) with an almost unparalleled view, on a huge site in Killiney. Nothing bog standard about that. Wouldn't be my cup of tea personally, but I'm not surprised it went for a good bit.
