Sky will be very happy with the way today played out. Froome has effectively 1m advantage on Aru from the time trial coming up. And now Landa is a great tactical pawn the way Aru hoped Fuglsang would be.

Great race to watch but what was sky thinking they had it in the bag on both fronts and then went very odd it looked like landa and froome were just doing their own thing very odd finish

Just watched on ITV...Bud, Bud, Weir, Bud, Beeer...(hypnotically frustrating and will put me even more off the stuff)

Anyway, great televised Rás stage today, with the A4 Sky guys chasing everything down while their man was up the road with a potential Yellow. Don't understand that...Froomie looks like he is having difficulty coming to terms with having a domestique that can ride him off the wheel. Memories of Wiggins / Froome , but the shoe is on the other pedal now!

Will make for interesting viewing now. Meanwhile, Uran is following wheels and keeping his nose clean. Looks great for a last week flourish. Finally, Dan had a good day. May not have got the results on the clock but he is showing that he can mix it on the first page of the leaderboard and is guaranteed to have a go!

If Sky are happy tonight, they're deluded.

Landa was working on the front of the break away and Froome was driving the chase behind. Absolute and complete stupidity. You do one or the other, you DO NOT do both. It's completely wasted energy.

I don't think Froome was chasing down Landa, although that was an outcome , more he as trying to put time into his rivals in that group.

Coming out of today, Sky had 3 riders in the top groups, what other team had that?

Sorry but you're wrong. Froome was driving at the front. He was chasing.

Sky were at the aggregation of marginal stuff today ...the aggregation of marginal mistakes - resulting in one almighty cock up by stage end. There must be a power struggle going on there. Maybe they are so brainwashed they feel they must ride in the front all the time even when it's counter productive.

Gotta be on the the front, no other place but the front...all day on the front setting the pace..chasing moves ...on the front...riding on the front, yeah..gotta get to the front ...chase moves

Just watched the highlights having done my best to miss all mentions of cycling up to now (easy enough really). Really enjoyable day of racing and happy for Braguil after thinking he had the stage a few days back.

Feel sorry for Dan doing all that work for just a few seconds but he's really shown a lot of mettle the last couple of stages.

Dan looked crippled at the end of the stage, all the more amazing performance

What is the story with Landa? The guy looks like he's barely even trying on the climbs and everyone else is on the absolute limit. Definitely looks to be the stronger of the team Sky riders so far.

    NO way...Kwait0 is the strongest....

As for Landa, he is a great climber but he was sweating plus you must remember he was riding with Contador who did most of the work even though Landa was going for yellow (he said so)

A bit ironic that when you see his back , it has "quick step" across back of jersey. :)

Ps I know it the term NAME

I agree with Above. Landa looks in better shape than an awful lot of the others. He was tootling along as if it was a Sunday spin for much of the last 2 days.

THat Dan put time into Froome the last 2 stages is pretty incredible, though especially so the stage with the crazy steep finish. I think that gives an idea how bad Froome was at the death there.
