Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Watched the media scrum with Floyd. Interesting when he mentioned Conor's weight and his plan to switch from southpaw in the fight.

I wonder if that's true, and if so, who's the rat in Conor's camp?

Conor's face looks very drawn out in that video he posted on instagram.

It's easy enough to predict Conor weighs around 160 now, and I think everyone knows he will try switching stances and do some capoeira dance moves early on.

Even with a good boxing guard, Floyd has the hand speed, timing and accuracy to land punches on elite fighters all night long

So you're saying even if Conor tries to change his game to carry a high boxing guard, Floyd will still pick him apart.

Why bother so? May as well just fight in a way that comes naturally to him.

He deleted it from his instagram and twitter, maybe it contravened advertising policy. That little welt on the bridge of his nose isn't getting any better. He's had it for nearly 10 days now and it's just getting worse.

I still think Conor would have been better advised coming in closer to 170lbs than the 159lbs Lockhart says he's coming in at. The fact they're coming in light and also requesting an international judge, is a hint to me that they're anticipating this could go 12-rounds. Put it this way, for the Nate rematch Conor said publicly that he'll stop Nate inside 2 rounds but you could tell the whole camp knew it was going to be the full 25 minutes.

If he beats Floyd on points, he may as well just run for President of the Earth.

It's really very simple, but I suspect you know that and are being deliberately disingenuous.

No guard - Floyd lands at will, barely having to use any of the skills at all know he has.

Guard - Floyd has to work for it. He'll still hit him of course, but nobody is suggesting it's the same.

It wouldn't surprise me if Mayweather dis have a rat very close to the McGregor camp. Especially in Las Vegas.

I don't think it's that simple at all. For a start, Conor doesn't have "no guard", he has a very specific type of guard that he makes work but even in MMA he's always been hittable.

Conor's entire fighting style is based on his a) stance and b) guard c) range. He held it a bit higher in the Nate rematch and he'll hold it a bit higher again this time but his low, wide guard is a big reason he's had so much success.

    Pause it at 7:53 below.

Conor throws a right uppercut, left straight which lands cleanly on Max but his left hand was nowhere near protecting his head. It was low as it always is.

    Pause it at 1:51 here.

Again, we see Conor with his low guard. He exchanges punches with Dustin but beats him to the punch, landing his straight left hand plum on his ear while Dustin's right hook over the guard doesn't land cleanly with any force.

If you've spent a decade timing counters and punches from a wide, open guard, it would be crazy to spend an entire camp learning to fight a different way.

The best Conor can do, in my opinion, is hold his hands a little bit higher in defensive positions but he's still going to carry that left hand ridiculously low by boxing standards.

What will absolutely kill McGregor is his lack of hand speed and accuracy. Floyd has hand speed and accuracy like nothing Conor has ever seen.

Conor's lack of hand speed will make this fight nothing more than a casual spar for Floyd...

Hand speed wont be the reason he will lose, since when did Chino Maidana have lightening handspeed.

It will be one of the reasons...And considering most think his only hope is a KO, which is generally a fast shot that the opponent doesn't see, then it's the main reason for Conor that he cannot win.

    Plenty other reasons too.

Even giving Conor much faster hands and he still likely gets beaten silly.

Conor's accuracy is insanely good so no idea where you're pulling that from.

Yes, he has vastly inferior hand-speed to Floyd but that's true of almost everyone Floyd would fight. They said Maidana had no hope because of his comically slow hand-speed compared to Floyd's, that he'd be butchered, but he took that first fight to an extremely close decision.

Even giving Conor 4 hands and X-Men mutant powers you'll still be saying he has no chance.

We get it. You think he'll lose.

Is it not a far bit easier to be "insanely accurate" when the guys your fighting arent weaving and dodging to the same level as a top level boxer? Ive said it from day one, but I think Conor will be punching at air for 99% of this fight before becoming wrecked.

You don't have to weave in MMA because you stand much further away. So it's considerably easier to move away from shots too.

I wonder if that's true, and if so, who's the rat in Conor's camp?

Appears to be someone leaking stuff anyway if this is anything to go by and was most likely what Paulie was referring to yesterday with his 'not again' tweet............

SOURCE SAYS TEAM MCGREGOR HAS "PIECED TOGETHER" EDITED FOOTAGE OF MALIGNAGGI SPARRING; MAY RELEASE DOCTORED VIDEO

According to a source with a direct connection to Team McGregor, members of the team have spent the past several days piecing together a short 2 to 3-minute clip of his second sparring session with multi-division former world champion Paulie Malignaggi. Ever since Team McGregor first leaked unflattering photos of the session, Malignaggi has been adamant that he "beat McGregor's ass", going so far as to demand that the UFC release the full unedited footage of the 12-round encounter. It took several days before a member of Team McGregor, an amateur sparring partner by the name of Tiernan Bradley, finally countered Malignaggi's claim, suggesting that it was actually McGregor who got the upper hand during the session.

Thus far, there has been no footage of the sparring session, but it looks like Team McGregor is in the process of changing that. "It's like a bunch of 10-second clips of some of his best moments that they pieced together; kind of like they did with the South African kid," the source informed us. For those that aren't familiar with the story, the "South African kid" that the source is referring to is welterweight contender Chris Van Heerden, who was one of the first professional boxers to spar with McGregor.

Footage of their sparring session first surfaced on the internet over a year ago and at first glance, McGregor appeared to have success against the ranked contender. That was until Van Heerden exposed the video with his own unedited footage of the full session. In Van Heerden's version, it was clear that it was McGregor who was getting touched up badly by the professional boxer. Van Heerden himself has been critical of McGregor's attempt to present the false impression that he got the upper hand in sparring, so it should come as no surprise that the UFC star is now doing the exact same thing with Malignaggi.

Jesus, look at that. Rational, logical thought. Doesn't matter though because McGregor is "insanely accurate". Just ignore the fact that his accuracy is in a different sport.

Think it's happening today, was supposed to be Wednesday but they cancelled it and rescheduled for today in the UFC gym

He might have one tonight if the All Access episode even suggests that McGregor got the better of him.

The voice of the guy who narrates it is so serious too and si it'll be hilarious if he references almost anything Paulie has said in the media.

Forgot about the All Access episode.

Most people love Fridays, Paulie probably won't be loving this.

Maidana was an elite boxer, He's a two weight world champion, with boxing skills far superior to McGregor and allot more power. And Floyd beat him twice. So what's your point?
