What is your point? People don't ask me about Jon Jones as he's not a household name in Ireland. He also got caught taking drugs. Name a sport where a top sports man hasn't been caught taking drugs.

It's not a legitimate sport because the UFC is not a strict sports league, it is sports entertainment. If Joe Duffy stormed the cafe and slapped an official and tried to attack a ref, he'd never be allowed near a UFC cage again. Mcgregor will get a slap on the wrist at most.

Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson. Two of the biggest names in the sport both caught taking drugs. Bye.

Sounds like the arrest rumours are untrue. That would have really been the icing on the cake.

Come on Dulux, how can you as a fan say its not a legitimate sport? Fighting is the original sport, it will be around forever. I never understood the fascination with people wanting public approval for MMA, I couldn't give a fcuk.

OK I'll rephrase, the ufc is not a legitimate sports league like the premiership or the nfl. If an NFL player or premiership footballer conducted themselves the way mcgregor did, their feet wouldn't touch the floor. Mma as a sport is my passion, I fu**ing love it, and it annoys me when it gets dragged through the mud like this.

I think we all know what the inevitable conclusion of this McGregor downward spiral is going to be:

He had a run in at UFC Gdansk (Goddard was the ref for Artem fight) had to tell the looney to calm down he was eventually escorted out. Pull that nonsense once okay, twice and escalated further? yea cut it out Conor.

Knackerish stuff, Was delighted to have an Irishman to get to the top like most in a sport I love but like a few of fighters you sometimes fall out of favor with overtime he's that for me now. Hope he gets blown out of it next fight.

Ah lad don't go partially quoting me, I'm not defending McGregor at all.

Goddard does push McGregor first though.

But as I said sheer lunacy all round

A push? He put his hand on his chest and McGregor reacted to that. No push there!

Partially quoting you? I quoted your full sentence, I didn't leave out any context.

Show me where he pushes Conor in a way that is deemed forceful/aggressive/intimidating to Conor.

The TMZ video footage is even more damning.

Conor was basically threatening Goddard because he believed Goddard was shaping up to award a no-contest or a DQ.

He pointed fingers in Goddard's face and said "That was a fcuking stoppage and you know it. I'm getting fcuking sick of you. He was knocked down (inaudible)"

An SBG fighter should be disqualified the next time Conor pulls a stunt like that. Kavanagh will have no choice but to reign him in.

    There is no defence.

Disappointing. Hope he regains his senses enough to realise he should be ashamed.

I had hung in there as a fan but no more.

I'm sure he won't care, it's only one PPV per event he is losing....isn't it?

Grow up Conor, your son will see this and what will he think?

To paraphrase, Kavanagh won't do nuttin'

    What a clown :D

Unless it was a publicity stunt pre-arranged with Bellator, I’d imagine he might be in a spot of bother!

I’m sure he can afford the fine though....

Doubt they’ll be seeing him in The ‘Joy anytime soon :pac:

What would be the point? He's not going to fight for them anytime soon. There would be no pay off of Conor stepping [legally this time] into the Bellator cage.

More likely he's licking his lips at the prospect of a revised edition of his biography. New chapter about homophobic slurs, treehouse benders, fights with refs etc. Available in Easons in time for Xmas

Goddard wasn't shaping up to do that. He wasnt sure if the KO happened after the round ended or not and was saying to Charlie Ward the fight wasnt over. In the mean time Conor had jumped into the cage celebrating and that all kicked off. They went and checked the time and the finish was before the end of the round so the KO was given. Charlie Ward mentioned it in his interview with Severe after the fight.

it mightn't be the same outcome for him that he's going home tonight and walking up tomorrow

No prizes for what Ward means here.

    Real classy

Ward's smarter than I gave him credit for. He knew to stfu about McGregor being in the cage.

Have to laugh about him whinging about being sick before his two UFC fights though.

Think its fair to say McGregor has a serious god complex

If this had been Nick Diaz jumping in the ring after a Nate fight, where he had only went at a ref after the ref and went at him, and slapped the head of some ring security guy that had tried to push him off the cage, it'd be: "Nick's a legend!"

It's the fight game, not badminton.

He's not blameless of course....but total overreaction here.

Jesus Christ, no they wouldn’t. I’m wondering if you’ll defend any man of their actions because of your worry about misandry?
