Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Paulie is genuinely aggrieved, you'd have to imagine he'd pass on info to the Mayweather camp, perhaps even indirectly. He's almost at pains to say otherwise - which is an alarm bell in itself - but his form in public has been anything but, even if he has been somewhat non-specific thus far. God knows how he's babbling on behind the scenes...

If Conor has footage, Paulie sure has his mouth...

Floyd or his team wont bother watching . You think they care at all about what he is going to bring to this other than creating more hype. Release the footage . He beat up a world champ . The hype would go into overdrive

I thought Floyd trained for every fight like he was broke? Surely that would involve watching and analysing any fight footage, including sparring?

There's 2 ways for a sparring partner to go in terms of Conor.

    1. The Conor Wallace, Dillon Danis, Cian Cowley route. All were initially brought in to spar for specific camps and all ended up becoming friends and part of the team.

    2. The Chris van Heerden, Paulie Malignaggi route. Go in with an ego and take it personally when any photos are used in fight promotion. Exploit 15 seconds of fame with interviews and then fade back into relative obscurity while being trolled by an army of online McGregor fans.

You can see why Conor chooses to bring in people like Conor Wallace, Tiernan Bradley etc though. They're not at the level of a Malignaggi but they're not coming in looking to defend their ego.

People kept saying "Conor needs better sparring partners" but this is exactly what would happen if he got a Kell Brook, Amir Khan, Chris Eubank Jr. involved too.

If Conor really wants to troll Paulie, he'll release an edited clip of him landing at will on him... knowing Paulie has no footage to respond with

He could also just not show any pictures of any sparring at all, kinda like Mayweather is, or just release very limited footage like Canelo is currently.

But then again, he is trying to sell this fight, so his team will continue to do it.

They're also very young so they are deferential to Conor, awestruck to be training with a 'big star', happy with a few bob and possibly don't give him a hard time in training.

In one of his videos Zahabi said he has seen many times in a gym where someone is the 'gym star' and everybody is very deferential, nobody puts them in tough spots. That's what he saw in Conor's ground game.

I think it's possible Malignaggi came in, wasn't awestruck, gave Conor a reality check in sparring in a way nobody else in the camp was willing to do. It didn't go down well so they sent him packing.

Jesus Christ, it was to be expected that Conor would put out images that favoured him........... he's trying to sell a fight on ppv ffs. Also, none of us know the exact deal McGregor has in this fight and the bulk of his take home could be ppv percentage. You'd want to be be very fcuking naive to think they wouldn't do this....... and I don't think Paulie is naive, I actually think he's just using this as a way of jumping ship before he got pushed.

As many have already said, all the images were captioned with the 'OMG power' quote and so it's clear the camp did not appreciate him giving a thousand damn interviews saying that over the past couple of weeks. Again, they are selling this fight on the premise that he might just have something with that left which could trouble Floyd....... then Paulie the genius goes running round saying Conor doesn't. How dumb can you get like.

He also had sneaky digs at the camp saying there were hangers on and he couldn't tell which ones they were. Could very well be true, but it's not something he should be saying when he is part of their team. Anyone remember those interviews he did BEFORE he joined them?? He was all about how much of a team player he was and how he wouldn't be saying much, but gladly give details on fight night! But the guy hasn't stfu for two minutes since the sparring began.

This is all about Paulie struggling to transition from title contender to sparring partner..... unfortunately he still thinks it's all about him.

go away out of that, of course they will watch it, bar van heerden its the only bit of boxing footage they have on Conor. regardless if it is edited to the 9's bigging conor up.

Apparently he never watches footage, thats the urban myth anyway.

Why would it ? He doesnt need to analyse any boxer ( or Conor ) he is confident in his own ability

Conor brought Paulie in to give (or try give) Paul a few slaps for the disrespect he was giving Conor a few months ago. He has said this many times, yet Paul and some I'm here keep saying he was there to help.

Conor hates criticism, he cracks up with other ufc fighters via text if they diss him.

No he didn't. Mousassi just didn't have the intelligence to understand the analogy McGregor was using.

Love this. As someone on reddit noted, everything about this picture makes more sense with the horse. Even the ref's face.

No he didn't. Mousasi pointed out the weight difference between them and McGregor said something like 'a knife only weighs a pound and it'll still cut you'.

paulie malignaggi was a sparring partner , paid to be there to help conor , not the other way around, its very unsual for an ex world champion to be a sparring partner and he seems to have a problem that conor's camp are spinning it . thats what happnes , pauli has done it , every boxer has done it
this is very high profile and maybe pauli thought there would be no footage to show or that he was going to be a big part of conors camp but sparring partners are not there to look good themselves

It actually does make more sense with the horse. I think it's safe to say this is the actual image and the "original" we seen was just this with the horse photoshopped out.

I'm just waiting for Dana White to weigh in on TMZ because he sat through the full 12 rounds and he's usually not shy giving his opinion :pac:

Van Heerden was doing TV interviews about that spar 12 months after it happened.

Bend the knee and be grateful that people know your name now..

Plenty in McGregor's circle bend over, never mind bend the knee. Doesn't need any more.

He has a pinned tweet on it too.

Also, does anyone remember an interview with Paulie commenting on McGregor editing the Van Heerden footage and him saying 'that's to be expected' and laughing? I'm sure, in one the two thousand interviews he gave this past month, he said something like that. May even have been asked how he would react if they did similar with his sparring.

Can't remember who it was with though. Maybe some podcast.

Was that not a parody account who was tweeting Mousasi?

Your man Gerry Byrne, is he involved with Crumlin boxing or is he just a lackey?

He's just a friend of Conor's. His brother is Dean Byrne, bit of a journeyman Crumlin boxer, who Conor went to see fight at the National Stadium in Dublin about a month before the Aldo fight.

He seems to be front-and-center in this camp. Conor has given "jobs for the boys" to most of his mates. The Dunphys run The Mac Life for him, Charlie Ward was employed as a bodyguard, Gerry Byrne now some sort of boxing guru etc.

It's cool to see someone sticking with the people who stuck with him when he had nothing.

The bad side of it is the transformation in all their personalities. They all think they *are* Conor nowadays. If you follow their social media you'll see a point where they went from normal fellas to suddenly hashtagging everything #hardwork #manswork and saying stuff like "Want it? come get some".

They're all buffing up in the gym and acting like they're fighters. That's grand but most of them wouldn't last 3 seconds in a fight without Conor, Owen and Artem to jump in for them.
