    Being reported alright, They spawn in completely different times to trout/salmon though.

    Yes, saw it in the ifi Facebook page. More than just the one too by the description given.

    Anyone know the theory on how they ended up over here? Are they farm escapees?

    The Russians introduced them into the Barents sea around 40years ago as part of a breeding program - is one theory. Apparently they have successfully bread in the rivers of Iceland and Norway. They now might be moving south...

    These salmon were reported in the UK in 2015 and have recently been reported in the river Ness in Scotland.
