Has anyone else noticed the new Road Markings on the approach to the Grove Island Roundabout from the Pa Healy Rd ?
There are two lanes at the the roundabout entrance. Previously the left lane was used by Traffic intending to either turn left or head straight over O'Dwyer Bridge onto Athlunkard St.
Now it is showing the left lane as left turn only (deliveries to the rear of Supervalue) and the right lane as straight on over the bridge, and 'right turn' for traffic heading out the Corbally Road.
What Gob****e in the Council came up with this idiotic scheme ?
Apart from going against the Rules of the Road it now supposedly forces all of the cars approaching the roundabout to stay in the right hand lane even though the majority of them would prefer to keep to the left hand lane.

Next thing we'll have the Guards out issuing Fines for this nonsense.......

There's a fierce small number of people who know how to use roundabouts either way. If they made the left lane for hover cars only it wouldn't make a difference to 99.9% of the people in this town.
