Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Student Visa - Arrival timeframe

    Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help answer a query regarding student visas: a friend of mine is arriving from Brazil to pursue a Master's in Ireland. His course begins in early September but he wants to arrive a couple of weeks (3-4) in advance to sort out accommodation.

Is there any hard and fast rules around how far in advance a student can arrive in Ireland before their official course start date? Brazilians do not need a visa on arrival but they register with the GNIB after arrival, I believe.

We've tried contacting INIS with no success.
