    Good afternoon,

We are moving back to our country in September. We have a joint account with Bank of Ireland, and we'd like to know the procedure for cancelling it. We also have a Young Saver Account, and we want to cancel it as well, having the funds in our account.

Could you please tell me how to do so?

    Thanks!
    Jorge.

Just to add information. We would cancel the joint account being abroad, but the Young Saver account would be cancelled being in Ireland.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jorge,

Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.

In order to close the account as you have changed address you will need to write a written instruction into the branch where you opened the account for both accounts.

Please insert copy of passports, account details and a telephone number as we may need to contact you.

Please let me know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Have a nice day.

    Thanks,

    Kareana

    Hi Jorge,

    Thanks for the additional information.

If you are still in Ireland you can close the young saver account in your local branch, then close the joint account by written instruction when you are abroad.

    Thanks,

    Kareana
