Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    from the link...

    http://www.revenue.ie/en/employing-people/employee-expenses/employee-expenses-overview/index.aspx

'Your employee must be temporarily away from their normal place of work in the performance of the duties of their employment.'

hypothetically speaking, suppose employer is a painter with no normal place of work. the employees are told to go to X and paint a room.
any way to claim travel expenses here? if you have to go from 1 site to another on the same day? if you have to go to b and q to buy a new paint brush?

    any advice would be appreciated.

Hypothetically speaking a painter/tradesman doesn't have a normal place of work,as it changes frequently,

Years ago on big industrial jobs that lasted for a couple of years or more you would get travelling time, worked out by the time it should take to get from O'Connell St to your job, mind you only the bigger unionised contractors would pay it.
