    On the other hand, has Sir Dave Marginals had a word in the ear of Ben Swift? Good man - keep the British flag flying for a bit etc, place on the GB World Road Race Team etc etc, never mind Louis Menkeys etc etc just drill it in the valley while Team Sky eat lunch and the Robots recharge...

    Jaysus, the clock went all the way to 5 mins there. Coming back now. If Contador has 4 mins at the start of the Galibier, surely he can get over with a minute spare?

    I'd say he's done enough to get a contract elsewhere, I just hope it's a team that has the talent to support his GC challenges.
