    Yes that's very positive.

All 3 were like that. Doctors now at 3pm.

On our first, my wife went to the doctor at short notice after she got a positive test, because she wanted to be sure.

The doctor said, "Did the test say you're pregnant?"

    "Yes"

    "Then you're pregnant. Congratulations!"

In terms of the twins question, a strong positive is really only relevant if you get it really early. After 6 weeks you'd expect a strong positive every time.

My O/H's (and mine) nerves are shot after what i said in my OP.

Even going out the door a few minutes ago she still can't believe it.

Here's hoping the appointment goes well.

I'm at home minding the others.

Will drop in here again once she's back.

    Why back on Wednesday?

    Why back on Wednesday?

To process the forms for the C.U.M.H.

Why that couldn't be done today I have no answer for.

If anyone looking in here knows the Hollyhill medical centre in Cork then they might have some understanding.

Herself has asked for a quick referral.

Usually it was anything from 4-6 weeks in the past.

Second doctors visit in 3 days now completed.

My O/H thinks she's 6 weeks along, after discussing with the nurse she may be 10 weeks.

A date of March 17th had been suggested.

Without the scan we won't know for certain.

Contacting the hospital now tomorrow to try and get a scan asap.

If you can't get a hospital appointment soon the babyscan place can do a dating scan for you.

Very best of luck. Hope you get a scan soon enough to set your minds at ease.

That actually happened on baby number 2.

Turned up for the scan and she was 33 weeks,4 days.

Ended up giving birth to a baby girl weighing 7lb 14oz then, I couldn't believe it.

The most she could be is 4 months at best this time.

33 weeks? That must have made for a very quick pregnancy!
Best of luck with everything, and congrats again!

Yeah, only for we already had a 15 month old daughter at the Time we would have been caught out completely.

Thanks very much for your well wishes.

Man it'd be handy to get the first trimester out of the way without even knowing it :pac:

We got nearly a whole pregnancy done and dusted a few years ago, the midwives raised several eyebrows but all went well thankfully.

In relation to tomorrow, my O/H thinks it may be an internal scan rather than a standard one, can anyone offer advice on that?

The thought of it is worse than actually doing it. I probably had about 30 or 40 over the course of my fertility treatment. The nurse will make sure she is comfortable before they insert the probe. It doesn't hurt unless they hit your cervix which is unlikely.

    So that is true?

I thought it would be a normal scan across the stomach.

I doubt it will be internal. What makes you think that? I had a normal scan on my tummy at 7 weeks so I'd say it would just be normal scan.
