they are poor units though , the difference with a quality jigsaw is it cuts straight

I often buy cheap aldi power tools etc , but never saws

A lot of the cheaper jigsaws can be crappy, end up wandering all around the place, can't cut straight etc.

One exception is this Lidl one. It's better than a lot of jigsaws 2/3 times the price.

No idea when they'd have them next

Have you a model number or anything for this I'm on the look out for a decent one that won't cost the earth

And I was thinking there was something wrong and [my lines] weren't straight ;)

I got a Lidl drill - but it was only the fifths I checked that came with a straight head.

Woodies have a nice enough selection there. Bosch and Black&Decker have a few reasonable priced ones. Checked argos but the site seems to be down for maintenance atm.

I got a Ryobi jigsaw in woodies a few months back, works very well for me and didn't cost the earth.
