Possible to postpone WHV?

    Hi all,

    I got my WHV and it expires by the middle of December.

    Unfortunately circumstances have changed and I won't be able to make it by this December becuase my parents are very ill.

    I am hoping to postpone it by 5 months, until May 2018.
    Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Can I wait for it to expire in Dec and then apply again in Jan 2018?
    Or can I cancel it and apply again?
    I don't qualify for any other visas so this is my one chance to get into NZ.

    I'd be asking immigration and outlining your circumstances to see how flexible they can be tbh.
