Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Working time Act and Average Commission payments for holidays

    Finding it very hard to get a straight answer from anyone on this. Basically worked in a Sales role on a minimal basic and so reliant on selling to bump up the wages via commission. So apparently since 1997 the Working time Act stipulated that during paid leave that the employee should also have their wages topped up by the average commission they would have earned had they been working. The previous 13 weeks were taken to calculate the figure. I never received this top up,and presently in a similar role albeit with a different firm I do get this top up when taking time off. Would I be within my rights to seek past payments from my previous employer based on 10 years service? Obviously the sum would be pretty sizeable if not governed by a statute of limitations. Any advice or pointers greatly appreciated!

    At a guess maybe a solicitor. If it is as you say a sizable sum, any solicitor would be willing to act.
